A few updates

November 5, 2008

Sorry for the lack of updates! We have a few pieces of news, which you may have already read about in the comments of the last post.

Cindy got Notebook #39 on October 24 and sent us this message:

Hey Spencer – received book #39 today safe and sound.
Before I send it off I’ll take a few pics and let you know it’s moving on.
Cheers!

And Mike got Notebook #38 on November 3 and sent us the following:

Hey guys,

I got the notebook on Halloween day! I’m very excited about this project. I’m planning on passing along the notebook to comedian Dave Hill. I’m the PR for a podcast done here in Midtown, NYC and Dave is coming in to guest-host for a show. We just recently started the podcast and so far have had on Alice Cooper, Mark Hudson, Joe Swanberg, Foul Mouth Shirts, and a few NY Times Bestselling authors. In a few weeks we are also having on Michael Buckley (#5 most subscribed comedian on YouTube). Anyway, I’d like to have someone from 99notebooks.com do a phone interview with one of my guys from the show. We’d like to help you broadcast to an even greater audience! Thanks.

Mike

We are in the process of setting up an interview for this podcast. Very exciting! Once we figure it all out we will let you know how it goes and post some sort of link or audio of the show.

We are also planning on sending off two special notebooks in the near future: They will be just like the other notebooks we are sending out but they will also have disposable cameras attached to them, so everyone who writes in the notebook can also snap a photo or two of whatever they want. Then when the cameras get filled, we can get them developed and up on the site to share with everyone. Sound like something you’d be interested in? Send us an email and maybe we will send you one of these special “photo notebooks”.

Notebook #38 and #39 in the mail

October 22, 2008

Two more notebooks are sent off into the world. #38 was mailed to Michael in New York and #39 was sent to Cindy in California. They were sent using Media Mail, which usually takes the longest time to be delivered, so we might not hear from Michael for a little while. if anyone from an interesting place in the U.S. (or even the world) is interested in getting a notebook, send us an e-mail and we’ll get you one ASAP. Cheers!
