We thought this one was lost forever. But we just got the greatest email update on Notebook #30:
Hello world!
We are Isabel, Rafa and Oriol.
We are a Catalan family. We found the notebook the same day you left it under the Elephant in Paris. We decided to accept the challenge since we knew we would travel around. We were visiting Paris on a cultural trip with our 12 year old son who had never been out of Spain. We were hosted in Drancy at a family’s house. The son’s girlfriend is from Laos and she was the first to start commenting in French in the notebook.
From Paris we flew to Bilbao in the Basque Country. In Barakaldo, Isabel’s sister was so kind as to write a second comment in Euskera. Afterwards, the notebook traveled to La Rioja, a wineland in the north of Spain. Isabel’s niece, Marta, made her own contribution in Spanish.
Then, we arrived in Llinars, a village about 30 km from Barcelona. To continue with the plurilingual character of the notebook, now we will write on it in Catalan. Finally, Rafa’s brother, already in Barcelona City, will give this wonderful notebook the next push to be left it on its own again in La Sagrada Familia.

Usually when we leave notebooks in random places, we either hear from someone right away or we never really hear anything about it. It was great feeling to know that this one was doing so much traveling while we thought it might just be lost somewhere. Just because we don’t hear from a notebook for a while does not mean that it is over. All of these notebooks are out there. They just need to fall into the right hands at the right time.
