Maggie sent us an email letting us know she wrote in Notebook #4 and passed it on to her friends in Pacific Beach, CA. She had some inspiring words to say about the experiment:
I love this idea and I had so much fun writing in the notebook! This is an amazing experiment because people put a little bit of themselves in it and they get to share themselves with the world. By writing in it, their story or drawing or whatever they decide to put in the book will last long after the book passes through their hands. Maybe one person’s entry will change the life of another who gets it later on down the line. We are on the cusp of amazing possibilities! Imagine what is waiting ahead! I love it! I love the endless potential and the experience of discovering something new. For every page will be a new adventure and a new soul to discover. People will be linked through the pages and through the experience. What a concept! Imagine a huge chain of people all connected with one notebook… It sounds fabulous! I’m so happy I got to be a part of it!
Thanks Maggie! Notebook 4 has started its journey. It will be interesting to see where it ends up!

The first set of notebooks have been sent off into the world! The first 7 were mailed or handed out in the last few days, so we should start seeing more frequent updates on this site soon. Here are the locations of the first 7 notebooks:
1: Mailed to Santa Clara, CA
2: Mailed to Santa Clara, CA
3: Mailed to San Francisco, CA
4: Given out in San Diego, CA
5: Mailed to Santa Cruz, CA
6: Mailed to San Francisco, CA
7: Mailed to Asheville, NC
As you can see, almost all of the notebooks are stating in California. If you live somewhere outside of California and want to help us out, send us an email and we will hook you up with a notebook!
If you are one of the first seven to get a notebook, thanks for helping me start this fun experiment. If you got one and don’t feel like writing in it, do me a favor and pass it on to someone else. It can be anyone too, it doesn’t have to be someone you know. You can even walk outside and give it to the first person you see. Or give it to a cop. Or a bum. Give it to your crazy neighbor. Go nuts!
